To mainstream biodiversity on a local, national and international scale.
To save the Niagara Escarpment.
To reduce society’s need for landfill sites by encouraging source reduction, composting and recycling by all citizens, commercial and residential.
To promote environmental awareness through education and networking with other like-minded organizations.
To preserve, protect, restore and improve the natural resources and environment, by all lawful means, in but not limited to, the Town of Halton Hills, Halton Region and the Niagara Escarpment. In this regard, the Corporation is devoted to preparing written and oral submissions in response to existing and proposed legislation, and current and proposed activities and practices; to organizing and holding public awareness activities; and attending and participating in hearings or public forums.
To encourage and foster understanding and awareness of the natural resources and environment and their value in enhancing our quality of life, by offering conferences, seminars, public meetings and distribution of information on issues relating to the environment and its protection.
To conduct educational seminars, conferences and public forums to promote and encourage institutions, business, government and the public in the development and implementation of business practices and manufacturing and waste management processes which promote the goal of zero discharge of pollutants into the air, water and land.
To cooperate and coordinate activities with other organizations whose objectives are also the protection of the environment.
