P.O.W.E.R. provides local hands-on support for the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, and the Decade on Biodiversity (2011-2020). From the Convention:

The world is now on a path to building a future of living in harmony with nature. In October 2010, in Japan, governments agreed to the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the Aichi Targets as the basis for halting and eventually reversing the loss of biodiversity of the planet.

By working together to restore biodiversity, we can help to address major human impacts on species and ecosystems, and contribute to human and environmental health and well-being.
